At 1.30 pm The team was deployed after National Trust staff called the police when a casualty spoke to them stating that there was someone on Pen y Garn with a broken leg. The NT called DPP and somewhere along the line Pen Y Garn became Pen Y Fan so we were called out. A member of staff from the NT tasked himself to the hill to search. We made contact with him and discussed tasking areas as we were assembling. The team deployed from Pont ar Daf up the main routes, including on board the gator. The main tops of Corn Du, Pen y Fan and the approach paths were searched by MR personnel or the NT staff. The I/C in Control spoke with the NT staff further and found where the information had been confused. The casualty who was actually on The Sugarloaf (Pen y Garn) had called the police himself and was being treated by MR personnel from Longtown MRT who had responded to a Gwent Police call. The team and NT staff were then stood down and returned to Control.
