Achubwyd y person ag anafwyd - Brecon MRT were called to assist Western Beacons MSRT with treatment and evacuation of a 31 year old male who had sustained an ankle injury on Fan Foel above Llyn y Fan Fach. The casualty's location on Fan Foel was confirmed with a 'phone find' message and BMRT & WBMSRT personnel were deployed on foot and with the BMRT 'Gator' to assess , treat and evacuate the casualty. Poor visibility and windy conditions prevented helicopter evacuation. But the casualty's injury wasn't limb threatening and after rewarming and treatment with a vacuum splint to the injured ankle & Entonox analgesia, the casualty was evacuated on the BMRT 'all terrain' 'Gator' to a NHS Ambulance. The casualty was then taken by ambulance to Glangwili Hospital at Carmarthen.
