The team were called at 3.15 pm to rescue a female who had broken her ankle just below the summit of Carn Pica. Two hasty teams deployed one on foot and one in the ATV gator. ATV gator not able to access the hill due to very wet conditions so crew continued on foot. Due to the length of time the casualty had been on the hill and the cold weather air support from Coastguard Rescue helicopter was requested. One team arrived at the casualty site and started to assess the casualty. The helicopter arrived on scene and the winch paramedic was lowered to the casualty site. Initially it was agreed to winch the casualty on to the aircraft. Due to worsening conditions the crew were unable to winch so they landed on the summit of Carn Pica. Theam members then had 15 minutes to carry the casualty to the summit before the helicopter had to leave due to fuel low. The casualty was carried up to the aircraft and she was then flown to Cardiff. The team stood down at 9.00 pm
