The team were called by the police at the request of the ambulance service to assist a female with an ankle injury. She was out walking and placed her leg badly and heard a crack. The casualty was located using the phone find app and team members sent to her location. He r ankle was splinted and she was given pain relief. She waloaded on to our stretcher and carried off the hill. WAST were unable to provide an ambulance so the decision was made due to the anture of the injury and the weather conditins to transport the patient in a team vehicle. She was escorted by team doctor.
