The team were alerted to two female walkers lost in Cwm Carfanell when cloud descended. They had no map, but 2 compasses. Soon became wet and cold and called for help. They gave a vague W3W to Gwent Police before losing signal. the Incident controller spoke briefly and concluded they may have headed into forest at Waun y Gorlan. Two parties were dispatched one on foot the other to be deployed by landrover. The two females were found as the landrover drove out of the forest onto the open hill. Both were wet and cold but in good spirits. They were driven back to the control vegicle given warm drinks and wrmed up. They were then taken back to their own vehicle.
